We Wish You A Merry Christmas!!

Most of our Christmas pictures are on my real camera and I don't have them on my iPad.... But these give you the idea! On Christmas Eve we had Mummu and Jussi over for dinner after church. We go to a very small country church near our house. The family mass is less than 30 minutes long and just tells the story of Christmas and puts us in the holiday spirit! And no fuss from the girls because they like going too!

After dinner we were going to go to the graves to leave candles as is the tradition. But, we were so tired and it was late that we decided to go on Christmas Day after opening presents.

The girls slept until 8 and then we opened presents and had breakfast and then set out for the cemetary. It is custom to leave a candle at your relatives and friends graves. There is a general area for people to leave candles if their friends or relatives are too far away. We left candles here for Grandpa Kent, Grandpa O'Neill and Grandpa Toman.

On Christmas day we were so lucky to have friends of ours over to celebrate with us! Our friend is from Cuba and they offered to make us a Cuban meal for Christmas. I think we just found our new tradition! YUM!
These are tostones! Ella LOVED them! We also had black beans and rice, chicken and salad. And key lime cheesecake for dessert! So good!

We had a nice Christmas even though we missed our skype date with our US family! I can't believe we did that. We were so busy cooking and trying new food that time got away from us! Sorry family! We love you!
