Happy 5th Birthday E!
We had two parties for E this year. We had a family party for her on Saturday and a kid party on Sunday. My Mom and sisters were supposed to fly into Helsinki on Saturday so we planned on having the grandparents over for dinner and cake on Saturday night. Unfortunately their flight was cancelled due to a snow storm and didn't get in until Sunday afternoon. We still had a little family party for her on Saturday! I asked her what she wanted to eat and she wanted nakki (hot dogs) and macaroni and cheese! She is truly an Finnish-American child! They don't sell mac-n-cheese in a box so I braved the homemade kind and it actually turned out really well! I can't make it again though, because I want to eat the whole pan! :)
Here are the girls and Daddy sporting their birthday hats!

Opening presents. E loves books. She still had other presents to open up, but she had to read through her book first!

Mummu and Jussi with P and the girls.
E with her cake.
Blowing out the candles. S's face here cracks me up! She was so anxious for the cake!

Then on Sunday we had her friend party at HopLop. It is an indoor play area. You get your own party room and they put your name on the door! She was SO excited to be the birthday girl!
The room was decorated with a princess theme. Perfect!

Later that day Nana and Aunties made it to Helsinki and we had even more birthday fun with them!
