This weekend we went to an area near Lahti called Messila. It is about 1.5 hours north of Helsinki. Lahti is well known for its skiing. We had reservations at a SMALL cabin, and when we got there it was right next to a pig roast festival. UM NO. So P made some calls and little did we know right up the hill was this wonderful place. It had a hotel and cabins and ski hills. There is this beautiful yellow building called the Kartano, or Manor House. They served breakfast here.

My silly girls in our cabin. It was a nice cabin with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchen. Very nice compared to the other cabin we were going to stay in! Of course P talked to them and we got a great deal too!





The best part of this place for the girls is it was attached to a horse stable! They had a pony that the girls got to ride!

EK was in heaven!

I kept asking her to look at me so I could take a picture. She couldnt take her eyes off of the horse!

There was also a great playground for the kids, SA LOVED this trampoline! The park also had goats and bunnies!
